I have been raising the Monarch butterfly as a hobby, off and on, since 2002 and after doing a wedding for a friend, I have decided to turn it into a business.
I also have found I have a real love of the butterfly and am very sorry to see them disappearing because of habitate loss and urban spread.
I have also placed some eggs in a few classrooms at my son's school and loved answering the childrens questions as they watched the eggs hatch, caterpillars turn into chrysilas and finally watch a beautiful butterfly emerge. It is almost a magical experience to a little child to watch this process, and I love being involved in it.
